I don’t play that game, but you should know that I’ve been at this restaurant/bar for five hours now, which has been playing a repetitive mix of Christmas music the whole time, and JUST NOW it’s finally playing “Last Christmas”—which I’m also pretty sure I haven’t yet heard this season.

So, that would make your previously mentioned Daniel Night Lewis not just the “evil” counterpart to Daniel Day Lewis but in fact the original person from which the others are cloned?

For clarity: the suburban councils are not horrified about Ballard’s lack of restaurants open after 9 PM. They’re horrified that there’s enough density for a few restaurants to be open later than that.

Also I’m now obliged to call the attention of my Catholic-college friend @tonydowler.bsky.social to this pressing theological matter (scroll back up a couple posts).

So obviously you’re raising your kid right and also you can tell him great minds think alike.

There’s a whole rabbit warren of theology this debate could go down, but at least from the Catholic perspective it comes down to “we have faith in God’s mercy that the elf has a soul and could be saved.”

I live in Seattle.

As I was saying, a visitor unfamiliar with Seattle who arrives at SeaTac Airport and goes out to the light rail station will find no prominent signs that tell them which side of the platform will get them to Seattle. This is a bad experience that could and should be easily fixed.

Get them shirts that say “Not A Cannibal”, just so it’s clear to everyone!

Okay but I *am* concerned about whether people are bringing any cannibals onto the flight.
