rasputin the cat is 10 years old! he's lived with me from my early 20s to my early 30s, during three different college degrees, and across five U.S. states. just like me, he's got grey in his fur and is more creaky than he was a decade ago. but i'm hoping we still have many more years together. ❤️

whoops i forgot to crop those screenshots. anyway, i find it really charming that the cookbook is full of little sayings like “wisdom is greater than rubies” and “keep your words light and sweet; you may have to eat them” and opens with this poem/incantation(?) at the beginning

today i photocopied my great-grandmother’s cookbook from the 1950s. i’m thinking this will be my next bookbinding project. mom and i made the pebernødder recipe in the second photo that has my mom’s notes in blue and mine in pencil lol
