How about a single page with just a text listing of every article title in chronological order? That seems like a completely trivial thing for Lede to allow.

Sorry to go though, and I wish you and Tom and your publication well.

It's also really weird that if people read the column as its published, you picked a platform that makes it as inconvenient as possible for new subscribers to read old articles. Maybe you'd get more new subscribers if that wasn't the case?

Astounding that "next article" and "previous article," or a calendar, are "custom navigation" when they're actually really basic functionality. Sounds like Lede actually sucks as a platform.

I hope you get a lot of subscribers and can fix this, but as of now you have one fewer.

Just as a data point, on my desktop the standard reverse chronological view displays 12 articles and then I have a 'newer' and an 'older' button. There are I believe currently over 1100 distinct #1 songs. I'd have to click 'older' almost 100 times to get back to Ricky Nelson.

I can't even click into an older article from, say, 1976, and 'previous' and 'next' my way to other 1976 articles. This platform that you've picked seems to make accessing your site's content as difficult as possible, so sorry to say but unless it's changed I won't be subscribing anymore.

Appreciate the response, but there are hundreds of columns, having 'older' over and over again to get back to the beginning effectively buries those articles behind an access well that I can't subscribe to get past. There aren't even 'first', 'latest,' 'next' and 'previous' buttons.

Scott,

Are the year pulldowns coming back for the Number Ones? Or any form of navigation other than "Older" and "Newer" buttons, which for a column with hundreds of articles is a pretty useless navigation scheme?
