I mean, it technically runs, but the laptop simply can't handle it. It can handle Lord of the Rings online, but not Guild Wars. I'm hoping for it to be added to GeForce now - the Steam version is on there.

I totally get that. WH40k is how they got me though - the YouTube algorithm figured that if I like plastic minis, why not build fancy robots? How long have you been doing it?

Thanks. It really is. I feel the same way about painting WH40k models and it really scratches the exakt same itch - and I'm not even through my first, simple, one...

Yeah, that's exactly what I told my girlfriend it felt like! Even a super simple one like this feels really nice to put together. Need to learn a lot when it comes to sanding and stuff, but I'll use this as an experiment.

Not sure they'd stick to preprod. Why not do the whole thing with genAI? Imagine the savings!

My Macbook can't play it via Crossover, so I'll have to figure out some other way, otherwise I'd join you. The nostalgia seeing my old characters was real. And yes, it's a crazy cool project of them. A very welcome surprise.

Sounds awesome. Hoping for GeForce Now though, so I can play it on my Mac laptop. My desktop computer isn't even plugged in right now. I hear the servers are hopping?

I had a similar feeling, so got back into painting Warhammer 40k minis for the first time in almost 30 years. It's been enjoyable, really satisfying once you've finished a mini, meditative (slap on audiobook/podcast and zone out) and therapeutic. Also expensive.

Indeed. Always thought about doing that "Pre-Searing Level 20" challenge, but I'm not sure I have that kind of patience, sadly. It's such a beautiful place.
