Wayward physics girl doing work in Haskell and Agda now

HoTT, literature, film, history, bicycles, roadsters, trains, and of course cooking

Please end in failure and go away

That is a difficult one. But somehow I suspect neither will happen for a long long time. But if I had to pick, it would probably be women priests

It has way too much magic american exceptionalism, with the framework mostly based on cold war rhetoric

Sadly it was not really a revolution, it was a power grab orchestrated by the wealthy elite so they could grab even more wealth

France actually had a revolution

It will start with women priests

math is not real, it is a human construct like poetry

If the toilet is good for the kitty, it is good enough for you

The Mar-a-Lago look is more uncanny valley than pretty

WFMU and KFJC really stand out. I don't understand why so much else is so terrible. They get by on shoestring budgets

I'm not sure I understand the femboy thing. I sort of understand them as trans women who are a bit scared of fully identifying as women. But then I don't understand
November 29, 2025 at 9:45 PM
I sometimes wonder whether trans men and women are better men and women, as they have a broader perspective and actually made a difficult choice resisting everything imposed on them by society

I am reminded of Tom's growth towards seeing Jim as a human being in Huckleberry Fin

First, second, and third world countries were cold war terms intended to delineate countries aligned with the western democracies, the communist countries, and the unaligned countries

It just so happened that many of the unaligned countries were underdeveloped and became a dog whistle

Let me know when they make an electric vehicle as light and with as good handling as a Lotus Elise

Unlike Starship

Hey now. The only other interesting distributions are perhaps void, nixos, and arch. Or linux from scratch. Debian is whatever you want it to be, from a gaming platform to a stable server or bleeding edge desktop to an HPC physics machine
November 26, 2025 at 10:22 PM
What is wrong with you?
November 26, 2025 at 8:45 PM
I think what is important is the less noise the better

Clarity of thinking should be paramount

Having separate type signatures adds so much, it is almost automatic documentation

Languages like Haskell and Agda really shine in this regard

pi might be real, but pii is imaginary
November 25, 2025 at 11:27 PM
I bet they are all vibe coders
November 25, 2025 at 11:25 PM
That, like nearly all modern cars is to big and far too hideous looking to be allowed on the road
November 25, 2025 at 11:02 PM
It is nice, probably the best flat split staggered column keyboard out there, but I think I will still stick with my glove80 because I love the key wells

I do like that you can turn the Bluetooth off

I thought he shouted in all caps "I DON'T CARE" ...

For someone who shouted in all caps "I DON'T CARE" um ...

Someone did not understand what Aeschylus' play The Eumenides was about
