Normally, I hate reading back my work, but on this one I keep looking at line and getting a little smug grin on my face! 🤣🥰 Hoping to convince an agent this one is worth it, once it's finished.

I'm what feels like hundreds of rejections down, no feedback other than positives. Each ms is better than the last and I have high hopes for my current WIP. But who do I ask for actual feedback on my novels? Is it a developmental editor? My grammar etc. is good, but where am I going wrong?

Good questions! Bugsy is a boy who moves into a new house with his parents. Lumi is the girl who lives in a secret treehouse in their garden. He finds it difficult to make friends. I don't really like that line, but I'm trying not to repeat myself.

Thank you for the suggestions. I agree with the cockatoo name - I was in two minds. It's not really a dual POV - Bugsy is the main character, but when he finds her treehouse the reader sees what's in the treehouse before he does. But she's the MC, if I'm honest.

When Bugsy finds a wild girl living in a treehouse with a talking umbrella & a cockatoo named Sidney, he isn't expecting a new friend. But when pets vanish & the village turns against them, Lumi & Bugsy must team up to solve the mystery & clear their names.
