De voorzitter van de raad van commissarissen van de Gasunie schreef een boek over klimaatverandering - maar als we zijn uitgeverij moeten geloven is Diederik Samsom slechts 'Expert groene energie'. Ook zijn profielpagina vermeldt zijn rol bij Gasunie niet.

De voorzitter van de raad van commissarissen van de Gasunie schreef een boek over klimaatverandering - maar als we zijn uitgeverij moeten geloven is Diederik Samsom slechts 'Expert groene energie'. Ook zijn profielpagina vermeldt zijn rol bij Gasunie niet.

And while the @europarl.europa.eu had issued a tough talk warning they could sue the Commission if nothing improved by 1 December 2024 - not much has happened since.

I won't deny Selmayr had a lot of influence and agree he is a controversial figure. But this article contains a lot of unquantified subjective adjectives, and neglects to mention that it was in fact POLITICO that was among the first, maybe even the first, to spread his "Monster" nickname since 2016.

GW Cross Media, now owned by Visma, built a near-monopoly by archiving Dutch government websites.
In 2018, it tried to expand in Europe, but when it came time to deliver, it ran head-first into the strict, no-nonsense oversight of the Publications Office of the EU.

De PVV klaagt in het verkiezingsprogramma over de macht die “Brussel” naar zich toetrekt en belooft veto’s in te gaan zetten.
Maar wat zijn die beloftes waard als ik vertel dat PVV-ministers toen ze aan de macht waren, alleen maar vóór meer EU-integratie hebben gestemd?

Als de prijs dit of volgend jaar al naar €0 was gegaan en geen alternatieve maatregelen had voorgesteld, dan had Nederland een boete geriskeerd.
Er is nog wel met Brussel overlegd over een alternatief pakket, maar Nederland concludeerde dat dit "niet opportuun" was.

Als de prijs dit of volgend jaar al naar €0 was gegaan en geen alternatieve maatregelen had voorgesteld, dan had Nederland een boete geriskeerd.

I asked the Commission to reveal the documents that showed former European Parliament secretary-general Klaus Welle had the qualifications to become a special adviser on defence affairs.
Let's just say they did not use a lot of space to list his expertise & experience...
