The US is not averse to using secrets against allies.

Plenty of that documented in the past.

The enshitification indeed

The stupidity of this is that a DV perpetrator could suggest their partner is doing something criminal and have their payments cut off.

They haven't thought this through

Is that then foreign power interfering in Australian politics.

I'm sure there are several places where that might amount to terrorism
November 24, 2025 at 1:21 AM
But we should ban kids.

How about banning the predators or, better yet, adding them to a police file
November 23, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Hire a couple of grads. They'll do just as well without the slop
November 23, 2025 at 8:44 PM
But ban the kids
November 23, 2025 at 5:32 AM
It was a laughable position before and now doubly so

It's sad to see that what was one seen as a reasonable relationship, the USA at least looked like it was the good guy has now gone to the flaming pits of hell.

Our government appears most happy to ride the train all the way down

Amy is on the money again. They'll play enough to both sides to hold power that will be their undoing as they leak votes to either side. I get their desire for steady as she goes. It keeps the peasants from murmuring too loudly.

The problem is that they aren't fixing 50 years of structural damage

Sometimes you have to do what is right

Nice, we now get to celebrate the illegal operations of another country.

What next a party for the celebration of the Sudan crisis

It's a good start, and I hope he keeps pushing it. He's arguing against a lot of capitalism & neoliberalism. The women I know are more than willing to support good ideas. They aren't going to solve, developing those ideas. TBF that's exactly what the red pill cranks are on about so it plays to them

Nice platitudes from one of our wondrous leaders.

She's being highly hypocritical in this, but nothing unusual there. The federal government has done little to fix front line services. Oh they will say it's a state issue, but that's another cop out

Federal reform with funding can drive huge change
November 22, 2025 at 2:18 AM
You won't hear much more about that article. The Australian has done its bit, and they can go back to screaming about some other odd concern
November 21, 2025 at 11:18 PM
The horror stories must be collectively huge. Only got to look at the Guardian report and know that's only the tip of the iceberg
November 21, 2025 at 9:10 AM
Sad but likely true.

There seems to be no end to that problem
November 21, 2025 at 9:06 AM
Pretty fair assessment. It is a house of cards and one day someone is going to pull that piece of string
November 21, 2025 at 8:57 AM
Shocking analysis.
Right now the chances of a white male perpetrator of getting convicted is stupidly low
November 21, 2025 at 8:10 AM
The number of blokes I've seen deriding her suggests she's on to something
