He has since lost his seat... and now runs a political consultancy.

It took multiple refusals, an appeal, and finally a tribunal hearing before government was forced to release them

The judge ruled firmly in our favour, stressing the huge public interest in knowing what ministers promise behind closed doors

Davies agreed — and the exemption appeared soon after.

The files reveal Toyota asked Welsh Secretary David TC Davies to extend hybrid sales to 2035.

Davies offered to help “in whatever way he can.”

Months later? The Tory government delivered exactly what Toyota wanted.
