Limiting right of appeal might prove harder to implement than reducing juries. Appellate courts will find ways around any statute that gets passed. It is the reason why ouster clauses end up failing, because the senior courts assert their jurisdiction to decide matters of law.

The system is complex and I don't understand parts. But I do understand how the Court of Appeal deals with criminal cases, which influences my view towards favouring trial by jury.

I don't think it will turn England & Wales in that, but I am very concerned that we lack the procedural protections that might exist in those jurisdictions. This is the sort of issue that might make me vote for another party.

I prefer the current system in England & Wales, and other common law jurisdictions. The role of the jury is to bring their own perspectives and provide a form of democratic control over how the criminal law is applied. It also recognises that judges tend to be privileged.

The problem I am having is the only legal way to ‘gift’ land is through a deed and the registration of transfer. If that didn’t happen then we are looking at either a trust or a personal licence.
