The owners of Kentucky Fried Chicken must be peeved that its fake Colonel Sanders is being blocked by the Fox World Series banner during the broadcast(upper right-hand corner).

Andrew Cuomo spent the 2010s rehabbing 15 stations along the N train(9 in Brooklyn; 6 in Queens), spending $505M.
Only 3 of 15 stations were made fully accessible. 2/3

...Why the resistance to an obvious solution? A risk-averse MTA bureaucracy, per @ndhapple.bsky.social via www.curbed.com/article/subw...

“In August alone, the subway’s weekday OTP was over 85%, which agency representatives said was the best August in a decade…”
That still yields >27,000 delays of >5 minutes.
Where were those delays? @MTA won’t tell you, unless you register for “open data.” www.amny.com/nyc-transit/...

...If the 2025 Mets played their last 83 games at the same level as either the 2007 or 2008 teams, the team would be comfortably in the postseason.
With a $340M+ payroll and 6 playoff spots available, will failure to make the playoffs lead to a clubhouse/front office shakeup?

Mets' late season swoons? There have been a couple...
In 2007 & 2008, penultimate premier pitching performances merely staved off ultimate disappointment.
2025 would be worse...

In the wake of reporting on @nyctransit.bsky.social subway service delays by the NY State Comptroller's office, Pix11, NY1 News, and the NY Post, the agency has blocked access to the delay data unless you register on the data.ny.gov website.
So much for "transparency."

Why is Sproat being pulled? He only threw 70 pitches!

...Per @mta.info stats, in July 2025 @nyctransit.bsky.social reported over 36k delays >5 minutes(avg since Jan 2020-29k).
Category with highest # of delays? Infrastructure & Equipment, with >16k delays.
NYCT's still having train crew staffing issues-nearly 3200 intervals were canceled(pre Covid-500)

Not the 1st time this sort of thing has happened.
In 1991, Then MNRR pres Peter Stangl let a buddy operate a MNRR train thru the Westchester countryside.
Despite this, he was promoted to MTA chair.

What you'll be getting for your extra 10¢: nearly 30k delays/month >5 minutes since Jan 2020.
Weekday service increases of...net 0 intervals between Dec 2024 & June 2025 timetables(10 intervals added to the E; 10 intervals subtracted from the 3)

Per data.ny.gov, there have been 153 assaults of @nyctransit.bsky.social workers since the start of 2025.
In all of 2013, there were 89 assaults.
NYCT workers assaults have increased steadily, with little or no response from Mgmt or the NYPD.

... @nyctransit.bsky.social finally resolved its R179 car issues, mercifully retired the R32s, and assigned the C new R211s(minus the open gangway cars).
More importantly, NYCT FINALLY increased scheduled 1-way trips by 14% since Aug 2023.
But is it enough service?...

...It didn't help that between 2000 & 2019, the C train was assigned the crappiest car equipment(R32s, entered service 1964; R46s, entered service mid-1970s), and even when the C train was assigned newer car equipment, the cars were taken away(R160s to E/F/G/R; R179s by mechanical issues)...
