Oh sweet, this just arrived this week for us too. Yesterday was unpacking/organizing/ogling. It's such a great game system!

Love the gradient on Avalanche's A; great work on these!

That looks fantastic, such a nice pop of colors. Well done!

Thank you! I don't often do the "blue light" effect, but here it felt appropriate since he was holding a glowing Tesseract.

Thank you! Those greens just refused to go on his tail in particular and as with most of these, tiny facial features are always tough. But I'm really glad you like the results! =)

Monster Train 2 is a high recommendation. Roguelike deck-builder RPG, tons of variety. Sequel to Monster Train which I always thought was significantly more fun than Slay the Spire. Probably has a two-clan demo available? But the game opens up a ton as more gets unlocked.

Anything I've painted in the last few months has been on Colour Forge Desert Sand primer. My absolute favorite primer so far with a good spray nozzle, and a lot of primer in the bottle.

Highly recommended!

Beautiful! Love the fire in the sky there. Great shot Tommy~

Thanks Shadow! =) I realized I hadn't done one for a United mini and that's kind of important since they're very different with the heavy black-lining all over.

Really glad you like it!

Congrats! Looks great and it's always nice to complete a primed batch.

I'm with you there! I currently do my painting in an open kitchen area in the middle of everything, and our beloved cat steals my painting chair frequently. When we move, I'm getting myself a studio room tucked nice and away from things =)

Hope you get yours too!~

Man, the framing on that is so gorgeous. I love your flower pics but it really strikes me when you do the silhouetted tree photos like this.

Fantastic shot Sandra!

Monster Train 2 came out in May, the sequel to the game that imo crushes Slay the Spire, and it's -incredible-. My wife and I have been playing for hundreds of hours and I've been enthusiastically writing up strategy guides for it on Steam too.

It will keep us entertained for years!~

Hey Diedrich! Was watching the new King of the Hill season and -immediately- recognized your voice when it showed up. Always loved your body of work and only found out recently you were on bluesky. Wanted to say hi & wish you well from a fan of your work =)

I'm with you! Seeing Golden Demon winners has never inspired me.. that's the best painters with the best tools working to win a thing with big splashy models. Cool; not inspiring.

However, regular folks using regular tools to do all sorts of cool things with models of all shapes & sizes? Love it!

Looking really nice so far! When I have a lot of black to do, sometimes I mix with non-black colors like browns/blues/purples and use deep black shadows to give the illusion of all-black clothing. If the highlights are cool/neutral, it tends to read as black. Best of luck~
