Yeah, I think in that regard, the only real "weakness" of cairn is its fairly grounded fantasy, without much option for starting the game as an elf wizard or similar, which someone may well want if they are inspired by the wider culture of DnD.

I think this depends on the vibes of the players, and what kind of expectations they have, but probably either Cairn or Mork Borg, depending on whether they're into the death and doom of MB.
