personally? i think it was highly likely neo was originally gonna be neku’s game in shinjuku but plans quickly shifted and they used stuff for betas

but to say that neo follows a scrapped plot is complete conjecture and not at all stated basically anywhere i can find lmao

i even checked translations of artbook comments on the beta images and neither mention this plot

neku and sho may have been placeholders or used from a beta of the narrative but Nothing states that neo follows a scrapped plot

and all i’ve seen regarding tsugumi refers to how her status as a heroine shifted

not about a scrapped plot
