I think you meant PATRIOT ACT, which is a large part of the reason why Americans are under siege by their own government. That is Cheney's legacy and will be his only legacy.

Is this presuming that Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Arizona don't have similar nativist phrases? Because Fetterman, Manchin, and Sinema are examples from each of those states who were entirely different people on the campaign trail than when they were elected.

Republicans do not have this issue, even (and especially) when the policies directly hurt their constituency. So right now it appears that to "win" Dems need better voters. But, Republicans have also won by being more radical. So ... maybe we need more radical policies. It's a legitimate ask.

I don't think it's assuming anything about protest votes when the data exists and people proudly document that they stayed home or voted 3rd party. The only question that remains is how do we fix the issue. Do we need specific policy/messaging changes, or do we need better voters?

This seems like a chicken and egg question. Which came first: the milquetoast politicians, or the people who refuse to vote for anyone but the "perfect" candidate?

Why are you assuming that the people he is referencing are Democratic voters? I don't think that was the point being made at all. Kevin doesn't state that they are Democratic voters, he's making a plea for empathy for conservatives who are also affected by Trump's policies.
