I edit genre fiction and live in North Texas with my family and rescue dog. I knit to relax and am learning to crochet.
Why is DFWCon so good? It has a variety of workshops, for both fiction and nonfiction authors. Registration includes 10 minutes in front of an agent or acquisitions editor to pitch your book. And the vibe is really upbeat. The tl;dr: great workshops and positive attitudes.

Home from DFWCon writers' conference in Hurst, TX for two weeks & I'm still amazed at how good this conference is year after year. If you can come to DFWCon, then I highly recommend it. And if you can't come here, I strongly advise you find a good conference you can go to (near you or online).

I don't think I ever introduced myself here. I am a freelance book editor living in North Texas with my family, dog & sometimes foster dogs. I love working on most character-driven genre fiction, esp romance, fantasy & mystery. I'm not great at social media but I hope to be around semi-regularly.
