And *then*... kids moved out and all surprised me by not taking the cards with them (GenZ apparently hates clutter) - I played EDH at my local shop till (sing it with me) COVID hit. Since then decided to sell off the collection and cash in the investment. Plus I play digital mobile now on MTG Arena.

But briefly, 1990s: played with friends, sadly did not save cards from then. Obama administration: My kids brought the game home from school, where it was really popular again. Bought in big time then.

I'm a gamer and was around when it first started. I played just for fun and even went to two tournaments. Heehee. I won 2nd place in the second one!

I retired my cards a long time ago. It's still interesting to me to see that folk are still so into it!
