City has not even asked for permission. They could have done it years before Bill 60. High Park has millions of visitors, easy to make the case. But you need vision, action, guts.

That is why you need the bumps every 50 meters and the narrower crosswalks, narrow lanes... people slow. If you leave the wide lanes, straight road, no humps, 40kph... incidents will continue.
Signs do nothing, speed cameras just the 50 meters before, make it SAFE from Bloor to Queens quay.

Exactly. Always, it's not what elected officials say, it's what is included in the budget.
There should be consistency on what people think, say, and do; as there is not, then budget speaks louder than words.

Toronto is one of the wealthiest cities in the world, Absolutely no reason for anyone living in a park that was not designed for that purpose. It's bad for all.
Housing is a human rights issue. Parks are for all ages and abilities, including students and unhoused; not to live there.

Agree, Jane. I bike all year, and maybe 8 years ago I was hit from behind with the mirror of a truck, luckily 'nothing major'. However, every time I am riding and hear a truck coming from behind, I get anxious and reminded of that episode.
We must make streets safe, for all ages and abilities.
