There are many liberals on this site that support keeping the government shut down until the GOP agrees to not cut funds to needed services such as healthcare. These folks, myself included, need to back their support with money. Is there a fund that will help the furloughed with necessities?

I propose that we hold a nationwide memorial service for every victim of a school shooting from Columbine forward. Each victim’s name would be read and a moment of silence observed. These murdered souls are more deserving of remembrance than a single man.
