As a kid, my grandmother used to tell me about how abusive the nuns and girls at her all-girls Catholic school were to the kids from the reservation (Cree)
I also desperately want to leave the US and to be closer to my family and REAL punks, so I'll be trying to make that move as well, I guess

They were able to secure a shitty apartment, but my mother can't really speak French & my grandmother's French has been ruined by living in the States for so long.
So, they're treated like garbage in certain areas.

I'm not really sure how to feel about Canada.
My mother and grandmother were afraid of being kidnapped and sent to a camp when my grandmother's green card expired a few months ago, so they packed up their car and fled to Canada (from there originally) with no plan, no money, no belongings, etc.
