I use the Spotify “daylist” during my week. It normally plays soft but upbeat things and slowly gets more energetic through the day. Since the inauguration, I only get thing with titles like this:

18 days ago I said I’d take just a week off of Meta and TikTok. X was gone ages ago. I learned I’m happier without them. And I save money cause I’m not buying from ad bombardment. So I decided to make it permanent. This post made me happy.

I’m telling myself that knowledge is powers, and knowing more about my body is how I prevent problems (heart disease resulted in my dad passing at 72). But the heart biomarkers from my @functionhealth.bsky.social has me a little emotional. I have work to do.

Update. I managed to find an extra half hour today. No tree or other decorations now until Dec 15 but I’m happy.

I tend to be “bah humbug” about holidays. Workload leading up to it is crazy, then the all the extra things to do like gift shopping, decorating, etc.
I only had a small window to decorate between now and prob Dec 15. Got half my snowflakes up. Happy Half-Ass Holidays 🤪

This week I’m in San Jose. Next week Philadelphia (mom meets the fiancé). Fly home Sunday night; then early Monday AM to Las Vegas. From LV back to SJ. Then I come home for a hot minute and a weekend in Seattle. And then it’s Christmas. Setting up the tree does not fit my schedule. Or laundry.
