Quince paste? Dried cherries? Tiny gherkins? A tiny pile of z’aatar for next to the goat cheese?

And delicious with their pyramid of cheese masquerading as butter or a sharp cheddar!

Costco still does (at least off-and-on), but you may have to suffer through coffee-rubbed Toscano to get the sheep’s milk Spanish, drunken goat’s milk and English cheddar cheeses in the flight.

Costco has seasonally—so, so delicious, we thank the Motherland for her contributions to US cheese culture!

Refined-but-rough mimolette is worth a side quest when you are done at TJ’s; deeeeep daaaaark color and crystals upon crystals for your tongue’s delight. Not for anyone <40. And most shops where it is sold will not be people-ing!

Sweet boy! He needs nothing but his person and his cozy blanket, although an afternoon snack may be in order soon! 💕

I am so sorry for your loss. Of course you will never replace her, but perhaps someday you may find room in your life and heart to honor her by helping another small being in such a fabulous way! 💕

BUT…his Scots Irish people, like mine, have always been the poorest of the poor, unable to “make it” in Scotland, then Ireland, then Appalachia…baffling he can’t see that save for the good luck and public education the USA provided him, he would still be poor. Every immigrant can have our story.

Part Scots-Irish too—our ancestors left Scotland for Ireland because they were too poor to “make it” in Scotland—and so poor in Ireland they left largely for dirt-poor Appalachia. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of “good genes” or skill or whatever “superiority” JD imagines our ancestors had.

Lawyer since 1987, retired this year…so sad that it all maybe turns out to have meant so little BUT it ain’t over. The judges, lawyers and juries standing up point the way to a better future…hope is so hard right now and so essential. Glad you are in the fight!!

Waiting is hard, even when you know the outcome—sending good energy for you and prayers that she passes peacefully (from someone w/a mom who passed in very similar circumstances in 2019)

I’d think giving aid to try to save the two people he shot is a priority over chasing him on foot.

Also an economic winner—employers don’t have the leverage the feds/insurers do to negotiate prices with pharma and hospitals + emergency care for poor people is more costly than preventative care w/be.

Parents follow Jesus and work the food pantry Christians, public school/university teachers, so always left-leaning, but WAY left now: D ineffective during Trump 1, Palestine, and failing to FIGHT efforts to re-segregate and hurt LGBTQ+ now. Lawyer so decimation of rule of law is a gut-punch.
