As @paulshelley.bsky.social has postulated Nyx I has had to have its core replaced if it's going to end up as a habitable planet. I hope we see a The Core event in game to bring Nyx I back from the brink

It's a great boost but definitely a luxury and the cost can snowball with mounts etc. (or replacing the Thurstmaster sticks that ended up with drift very quickly)
I'd recommend for the weapon groups, set a button for group 1 and group 2 then mouse wheel down to group 3 for the pips

I will say I'm spoiled by having dual sticks. The big revelation for the Meteor(and all ships of mixed weapon speeds) was setting up weapon groups to fire on their own trigger and then setting the active weapon group in the MFD to one with all weapons so you see the different pips and ammo

It has its faults but the F8C for a solo player is hard to beat, at least in the Heavy Fighter pve division. I will say though after I ccu'd up from the Meteor I missed it even if it's made of water soaked paper. So much so I sub'd in Oct and got a ccu for it
