I mean "playing well' is subjective. They've looked OK, which is better than most of the other players.

Finally, Slot. Got us #20. But his managerial potatoes as are being scrutinised hard right now. In conferences he looks knackered & without answers. I reckon he's got maybe 2 games left to turn it around. If we can't overcome fellow strugglers West Ham tomorrow, he might not last the weekend. 7/7

We are wholeheartedly missing Lucho, Quansah would be useful right now (a loan move could've meant we could have recalled him), even Elliot might have provided a spark we currently just don't have. All of this means there is no single thing that we could fix overnight. 6/

And so many players are off the pace: Macca, Ryan has the energy but teams have worked out how to close him down, Gakpo has been poor, Virg isn't himself, Salah is waaay off the pace, Isak hasn't had the service he was used to at Newcastle because we always play with inside forwards. 5/

Perhaps what worries me the most is when Slot says things like Endo, Ryan & Robbo are centre-backs. Or that, it's OK, relax pussycat, because Dom or Curtis can play right back. Players that are playing well (like Chiesa and Gomez) never make it to the starting line up. 4/

Plus, I honestly don't think Slot has done enough to integrate the new players into his system. I'm not 100% sure they even fit into the system he robustly adheres to.

You've got players who are regularly making mistakes (Kerkez/Ibu), players who need space but the tactics can't find it (Salah, Wirtz), some referring decisions that verge on the corrupt, a series of injuries that haven't helped... 2/

I think it changed after we won 5-1 v Spurs. The foot came off the pedal & has never returned. Initially it was because results mattered less. Now: Jota's death & having a team made up of grieving players & new recruits means there's less cohesion (+ injuries & lack of tactical development)

Once this club is in your blood, you don't have a choice!

Glasner, according to one post. Absolutely not.

Liverpool should post the same image next summer with the caption "Free Transfer"

For me, Ballon d'Or winners are now pretty much always from clubs with big oil investment, either ownership or as a sponsor.
