Tony Blackburn introducing something as his 'song of the week' pretty much makes it nailed on to be a dreadful dirge.

I feel a bit wrong for saying this, but I've enjoyed Five's offerings on these #TOTP episodes.
Underrated bangers.

Honestly, my Friday night tradition of the last however many years, of watching #TOTP work from the 80s through the 90s, is being really fucking tested in recent weeks. This is tough going!

42 years old. Still a stone cold banger.

I'm glad they don't put too many 1976 episodes ok. Can see why punk happened.
This is a stinker.

just giving this another share. It's a multi genre (indie/electro/metal/synthpop/shoegaze/psych etc) DJ mix I did for my show. Was pretty chuffed with how this one came out, I hope you dig it too!

Cutters Choice Radio have a 'DJ Selects' feature, where DJs from the station pick 5 tunes that are rocking their world. This week it was my turn to select! Have a looksee for videos from Adult DVD, Osees, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Upchuck and Viagra Boys.

My latest radio show is a wildly eclectic multi-genre DJ mix, covering indie, punk, metal, shoegaze, dreampop, synthpop, garage rock, psych, alt rock and lots more too.
This one went down a storm in the chat room - I hope you dig it too! #djmix #nowplaying #radio

I'm on a delay for #totp but feel like I have to share my astonishment at just how bad that will smith tune was. Crikey.

After a 6 month hiatus All Shook Up returned this week, and to tie in with that I'm doing a show with a bit of a difference.
It will be made up of the music that I play on All Shook Up, but mixed together as a DJ set. I'm quite chuffed with it. Come join me at 5pm tomorrow!

After 6 months hiatus, last night I returned with the all new All Shook Up Show. It's sort of the same, but with the new remit of 'music to makes you move', so expect loads of music to get you bouncing and bobbing. #music #nowplaying #radio #newmusic

I don't do politics on here too often, but this absolutely nails it. Starmer has basically spent the last year or so pandering to, and legitimising some of the worst that this country has to offer, and this is where it ends up.
I hope there will come a day soon where it dawns on someone in Starmer’s team that their strategy of communicating “Nigel Farage is right about everything but please vote for us instead” is fuelling these disastrous figures rather than mitigating them, but today is not that day
Brutal new MRP poll out today showing Reform at 311 and Labour support collapsing.

Worth reading steaming @financialtimes.com column on Starmer by @robertshrimsley.bsky.social

“Starmer can’t afford to wait for reckless Reform to implode”

Doing some proper listening between #TOTP episodes, and have to hugely recommend this KEXP set from GIFT. A bit shoegaze, a bit krautrock, a lot excellent.

I'm not suggesting (well, maybe) that the quality on these 1998 #TOTP is up and down, but I have started watching on a 15 minute delay so that I can skip the ropey stuff. Alas, I'm already almost caught up with the live broadcast on this one.

I don't share my breaks shows on here very often, but this one I did at the weekend is my favourite I've done for a fair while, so wanted to share it! Loads of big tunes in here, but also some lesser celebrated bangers too.

I'm watching on a delay, but I have to put on record that these two #1998 episodes of #TOTP tonight are really bloody bad. The grindingly tedious remix of The Verve, followed by Will Mellor has just pushed me into sharing this opinion. Jesus Christ.

RIP Ozzy. A true legend of music. A huge amount of the music I love directly traces back to Black Sabbath.
