In a world full of doom and gloom, it's worth noting that the corporate income tax contribution made by business across the world is on the way up - and has reached a 21st century high. There are many, many businesses out there who are proud to pay tax. fairtaxmark.net/corporate-in...

There are some US MNCs that are not running scared on what tax they pay and where. The following US MNCs all have the confidence to implement the EU pCbCR fully. #pcbcr 2/n

Chilly Saturday morning. Supporters milling on platform. Plastic bags in hand. First tin of the day. Oooh, that has a kick. Inside voices for now. Chat with randomers. No-one lost yet. Happy. Slag off the Prem - not proper football. No Salah but also no VAR in EFL. #UpTheTics

Hard-right UK press hate the massive influx of rich americans to the UK. It destroys thier false narrative of a flood of non-doms leaving for Dubai

For the record, she is trading up in the UK

It's grest that the UK government is expanding the number of bodies in HMRC. But the wage rates are ridiculous. Just above the real living wage rates. No wonder turnover is so high. Can earn more on the counter at Aldi. These are serious, stressful jobs and need talented, motivated people.

The latest pCbCR scores on the doors and analysis will be available at @fairtaxfoundation.bsky.social on Monday, 1st July. 135 MNCs now analysed. The gap between Japan / UK and the US / Switzerland has grown further! We'll also have a breakdown by industrial sector and country.

This should not be allowed. No political party should be allowed to receive crypto donations, especially one that has just called for tax breaks for crypto capital gains

A full-blown corruption disaster unfolding in real time in the UK. Copycat of what Trump doing in the US. Action needed asap

And here is where we are at as of today (5/n)

This speculation from @privateeyenews.bsky.social, who have been all over this, is probably not wide of the mark (4/n)

However, the UK's Companies House has now mysteriously u-turned and removed the compulsory strike-off, even though up-to-date accounts have still not appeared. Last set only go to end December 2022. Failure to file on time is a criminal offence in the UK. (3/n)

Tesla shares in freefall

Dollar says: hold my beer...
March 8, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Tesla shares in freefall and on the verge of losing *all* the gains made on Trump entering the White House

Could we be approaching a point when other investors intervene. Institutional investors own two-thirds of Tesla

Alexa, please find me a recent example of rank hypocriscy from a prominent US Big Tech leader

A big thank you coming your way from:
- tax evaders
- terrorists
- drugs cartels
- organised crime
- and corrupt politicians the world over

And yours and Epstein's mate Ghislaine Maxwell, who only evaded arrest for so long on your doorstep as holed up in a property hidden via an anonymous LLC

This is now feeling like a co-ordinated US/Russia push for regime change. They will soon say the US can't 'deal' with Zelensky. Trump had Grima Wormtongue on hand today to provoke and insult a war hero

At what point do the American centre-right wake up and own this shitshow?!
February 28, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Tesla's share price bump following election of Trump on the way to disappearing

Sales of Tesla in EU, UK and EEA down 45% in January, when EV sales in general up 37%.

At what point do institutional investors such as Vanguard and BlackRock act?
February 25, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Great to see the European Commission pushing back assertively against Trump's nonsense about VAT being a tariff and trade barrier

Maybe what triggers Trump is the fact that VAT is "non-discriminatory"

See ec.europa.eu/commission/p...

Fantastic update on all things Fair Tax Mark and @fairtaxfoundation.bsky.social, in the latest issue of Ethical Consumer

@ethical-consumer.bsky.social is well worth a follow

And the Magazine itself is crazy cheap, and subscription gets you access to a treasure trove of ethical data on business

Clueless
- VAT is not a tariff
- US exports to Europe charged VAT (c.20%): European exports to US charged sales tax (c.7%)
- In Europe, VAT applied equally to all products , where it originates irrelevant
- Trump basically saying US exports need unfair advantage to compete
