Here he is queuing up at an ATM two years after he was elected. We got the President we deserved, and he will be missed.

Prison isn't for you if you're rich. If you're poor, you'll love it, we promise.

Letterboxd Friday #lastfourwatched 📽️:
A semi-animated bit of weird carnival beauty by animator Suzan Pitt, an early version of the sexy weirdness now patented by Lanthimos, a film calculated to put people off watching serial killer movies & an attempt to outdo de Palma in the sleaze noir stakes.

Holy shit Mamdani has been winning since he was a little kid

I'm drinking to an end to billionaires, an end to oligarchy and, for poor and marginalised people everywhere, the right to feel hope for the future and hope for their children's future. It's the very least we can ask for.

I vivdly remember when Sadiq Khan was elected Mayor of London, an older ex-cop with whom I was prepping a documentary messaged me to say "Sharia Law in London within the year". The documentary never happened, maybe I lost interest, who knows.

Many years ago in the West of Ireland I spent about ten days hanging out with a bunch of brilliant filmmakers including Michael Lehmann, Trevor Griffiths and the mother of the next Mayor of NYC, the lovely Mira Nair. He would have been a toddler then. It's easy to see where he gets it.

Spooky Season does not end on October 31 in my house so last night we watched Howling 2: Your Sister Is A Werewolf, an insane mess of a sequel, featuring Marsha Hunt & Sybil Danning as hypersexy Goth werewolves & for a brief moment, Christopher Lee dressed to attend a New Wave gig:
