My experience of being on a jury was not positive at all. When we withdrew to consider a verdict everyone just gave their snap decision. In spite of my pleas, no evidence was weighed, nor did any discussion take place. I was very disillusioned by the experience.

Were it my responsibility, I would be thinking along the lines of requiring the ultimate owner of a national paper of record to at least be a domiciled resident in the country it serves. Mad idea I know, never catch on etc. etc.
