The Cirencester History Festival has been hugely successful again this year and is going from strength to strength. Today I was fascinated to hear about the rivalry of Richard II and Henry IV in a compelling event with Helen Castor at the impressive Bingham Hall in Cirencester. #CreativeCotswolds

Excellent defence of EHCR by @eddavey.libdems.org.uk and @libdems.org.uk in Parliament last night. Super proud of them!

Digital labs in some of Gloucestershire’s libraries - like this one in Chipping Campden - are an incredible community asset. 3D printing, LEGO design and more. Go and see for yourself what you can do!

I've just signed the Liberal Democrats' GP Guarantee petition - calling for urgent action to make sure people can see their GP within a week, or within 24 hours if in urgent need.

GP Guarantee
The Lib Dem plan would guarantee people can see a doctor quickly.

At the superb Skillzone run by Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue - it’s a place where groups of young people and children learn about fire hazards and personal safety in a fun and experiential space.

Good piece on BBCPoliticsWest about National Star College students & the challenges they face for funding when they leave education. It’s an amazing place in the North Cotswolds which I’ve supported enthusiastically.

As a cat owner the high cost of vet services is something I and many pet owners are concerned about. I welcome the CMA investigation today with its recommendations for action to address this.

Very disappointed to hear that @swasft.bsky.social are ploughing ahead with their decision to stop co-responding work with Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue. The public really value this cooperation. With rural ambulance response times still missing target they surely need all the help they can get.

The big increase in violent hate crime across the West as featured on BBC Points West tonight is really disturbing. Politicians have a deep responsibility to stop their own polarising language.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Jilly Cooper. I was her councillor in Bisley for a while and met her a number of times. Always found her very warm and welcoming. Her Cotswolds personality and writing will be missed. #RIPJillyCooper
