How can these polls be believed, and how can they be representative of the population?

Some sources suggest that almost 40% of UK adults have less than £1,000 in savings so the changed ISA limit is hardly going to be an issue for them.

It took me a bit longer to get hooked by the story (and what was happening) but the cast is fabulous.

Hmmm… from that document. Exemptions incoming. The last sentence implies it’s the occupier that will pay.

Might some (perhaps those in the larger mansions) be able to claim that the pile is actually owned by someone else (maybe an offshore Trust) as a way of avoiding this charge, or will the charge be on the residents?

If it was a genuine mistake why should they resign. If it was *so* important that it didn’t happen then OBR should have had systems in place to prevent it.

Call me a chicken but I’m not brave enough to deliberately break a law that I disagree with in the hope that 12 random folk plucked off the street, who probably don’t want to be there, will spare me from jail.
