News more awful hour after hour & need a change of thought. Was going to do a couple errands but too cold to go. 2 Sunday ICE raids where I would have been. STOP them. Now working on my own genealogy for a relief from all this. I can do that; many can't because of guns used to kill & ICE garbage. 😓

Watching an old episode of Designing Women. Wow, it was about the Anita Hill testimony and the Clarence Thomas process of being appointed to the Supreme Court. Really hit a lot of lows for me. Look at where we are now with him and some others. I believed Anita then and still do.

Really? Supreme Court doesn't help babies, toddlers, children, teens, adults on SNAP. How about temporarily allowing payments & not temporarily being on the side of the administration until an appeals court reviews, Stay temporarily hungry until someone in the federal government cares. Sad.

Checked what Nov 4 election day means for your home city, county, and state? Mayors, city councils, some Congressional races, and lots of school boards and school funding issues up for vote. Please vote and don’t forget the schools educating next generations. Teachers need that help, too.

Today's rallies show our country is full of caring and intelligent human beings. Some stood in the rain to show that. Others, as here in the Saint Paul and Minneapolis areas had beautiful fall weather. The crowds were beautiful and quite unlike the cowardly GOP was stating they would be. HOPE

They don't care about anyone beyond their "team" & that includes many in Congress. More disgusting people not stopping the horrifying actions. Give a damn about our U.S & care about people, families, health, jobs, housing, budgets, & our beautiful country. Stop T, V, J, M, and the others.

Don't have a cable subscription so didn't watch Jon Stewart. Did watch Colbert's monologue. He said it all! I kept nodding at what he was saying, showing, and wow on the audience!

Took a break from the news of the day and working on handouts for presentations. What did I do instead? Updated my upcoming presentations list and was able to restore the list of my topics that had mysteriously disappeared. Take a look genealogybypaula.com

In the U.S. we need a new administration and a new Supreme Court or at least several replacements on the court. Then there's the Congress that needs a big change.

I cannot understand why we have come to losing 70 people in this Texas flooding who had no chance. No warning. This state government and the federal government do not truly care about people.

My heart is hurting today because of what used to be "our" Supreme Court.

Teaching an online genealogy course this week for the GRIP Genealogy Institute. Great students in my course. I have some wonderful other instructors, too. Makes me much happier than watching my Minnesota Twins lose for another two nights this week.
