The studio I worked for shut down in October slayed us all off and I have been out of work for months. One of my former coworkers at my studio was in the process of interviewing at Intrepid, so this was pretty devastating for him.

Assuming the technology does get good enough to produce polished playable games, players won’t be producing quality experiences for themselves. There’s no culture or challenge to it either. You can’t tell your friends about how you beat a boss. There’s just no appeal to this as a product. 3/🧵

First, this tech will likely never mature enough to produce anything usable or fun. But, as a dev, I have learned there are some things players think they want but you should never actually give them because it will be detrimental. This is something that investors do not understand. 2/🧵

I’ve had zero issues with just saying that Ezra Klein should be shot and dumped in a ditch somewhere for trying to rebrand Reganomics as progressive economic policy.
