Remembering 'The Few'

I saw this the other day and it struck a chord. I've been fortunate and had a few readers say nice things about my stories, so as a bit of mid-week encouragement to toiling writers and authors, just keep going. Those who appreciate your words are out there.

My first author newsletter went out today. It talks about what I've been up to, what's in the pipeline and incudes a FREE short story, appropriate around VJ Day, which was long listed for the HWA / DD Shorty story comp in 2022. If you'd like to sign up, please do so at www.patricklarsimont.com

It's heartening when you debut novel has been out for a bit, but new readers are discovering it and saying nice things. Cheers an author up on a Sunday morning when in the editing trenches. Be a pal and leave a review. Cheers.

Today was the beginning of the Battle of Britain. Jox McNabb was there from the start of his very long war.

On Memorial Day remembering some of the real people that have been part of Jox McNabb's story. A roll call of heroes irrespective of their nation: Ferriss, Brotchie, Marseille, Falls and Musolesi.
Rest easy and not forgotten.

Most authors will know how blue you feel when one of your 'babies' is stalling. That's when carefully considered reviews can really lift the spirits. This is a five star GR review from a US reader. She gets me.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. You showed greater respect for my advancing year than my daughters. Here are the cards to their old Dad. I suppose I should be grateful they have a sense of humour and an artistic bent. PS: I do collect golfballs when walking the dog and yes, I do...

A hundred reviews and ratings in nine days, that's rather pleasing. Includes a one star from a 'Mr Magoo' in Oz, but the rest are all four and five. Happy days.

Publication day for my latest Jox McNabb novel. I'm told these unboxing vids are a thing, so here she is in hardback.
A bit a beaut, if I say so myself.
Am permitting myself a rosy glow.

I'm the author of 5 WW2 Aviation novels, the latest published on Friday. They tell the story of a Scottish schoolboy who joins the RAF, going through trials and tribulations to become a decorated ace. This latest has Jox McNabb as a POW in Italy. I've also pub'd a ghost story, set in Brookwood.
