Exactly: the bridge crew wasn’t the main cast — which is different for Star Trek. That said, I don’t think people would’ve cared as much except even the not-main characters were written so well, people wanted more. I mean, no one cared that we never got development of the Helm officers on TNG.

As a society, we don’t talk enough about the character growth in Discovery. Probably the best arcs in all of Trek for a full cast, perhaps besides DS9, but perhaps actually ahead of DS9.

She did! Honestly, both are individually FANTASTIC S-tier characters, so matching them up was really very sweet too.

Kassidy and Benjamin would’ve been the best but, I mean, Sisko had to leave her in WYLB, so like…
