A few days ago, a client’s data center "vanished" overnight. My monitoring showed that all devices were unreachable. Not even the ISP routers responded, so I assumed a sudden connectivity drop. The strange part? Not even via 4G.

Venleg påminning: på valgdagen kan du utelukkande stemme i kommuna du er folkeregistrert i.

Bur du i ei kommune du ikkje er folkeregistrert i (jf. 30. juni 2025), er i morgon siste dag du kan stemme der du bur.

Thanks to some pointer I did submit a pull request on the w3c/tr-design repository, which was merged today, and now “small caps” are gone for all W3C specs. This has irked me for years and if I only had known it was so easy.

Good stuff still happens in the world […]

I was amused by this paper about asking AIs to manage a vending machine business by email in a simulated environment https://arxiv.org/abs/2502.15840

Highlights:

At Opera we wrote all our own code from scratch.

In 2011 I left Opera due to disagreement with investors about the direction Opera was heading.

Two years later, I co-founded Vivaldi […]

Here are my impressions. (tl;dr: I strongly recommend it and would do it again.) 🧵
