Dr. Kenechukwu Ojukwu (UCLA) and Dr. Ann Nelson from the Pathologists Overseas leadership team hosted a table at the 4th African Assembly in Kampala, collecting survey responses on anatomic pathology workforce capacity and sharing PO’s programs in EQA, LIS, and PaLMEd.

With 13+ years in health IT & lab systems, Kehulum has led LIS deployments in 30+ facilities across multiple lab disciplines.

After volunteering at ABUTH, he joined us in 2025 & now leads the Dalal Jamm Hospital install from the IT side.

Following super-user training, Dalal Jamm’s end users joined live virtual sessions.

Super users demonstrated PolyTech functions while end users practiced using the system. Our team joined virtually to answer questions in real time, helping ensure everyone was prepared for the upcoming installation.

Our LIS Lead, Kehulum Gedefaw, created step-by-step videos on using PolyTech, the LIS donated by Comp Pro Med. With added French subtitles, Dalal Jamm Hospital’s team can revisit lessons anytime.

A successful LIS installation takes more than software. For Dalal Jamm Hospital, our team built a full deployment package with a MOU, training plan, equipment list, metrics, and feedback tools making the project collaborative, transparent and measurable.
