God calls all sinners – believers and unbelievers alike – to repentance, inviting us to bring our guilt, burdens, anger, and unbelief to the cross of Christ. There, He strips away our pride and self-reliance and gives what the world cannot: true peace for weary souls.

God’s mercy is not earned - it is received by faith.
Trusting in the salvation won for us by Jesus on the Cross, we can rest in God’s promises and receive His gifts: forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Freed by grace, we can now live as His light in a broken world.

Blessed are the peacemakers!

We assume tomorrow will look like today—comfortable, predictable, secure. In that ease, God can fade into the background. That's when He breaks in, unsettling what we trust to remind us who we belong to.

PROV. 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding

What our broken world needs and what the Lord desires, are repentant hearts humble enough to acknowledge their brokenness. Jesus calls us to live differently in this world, not by our own strength, but by our trust in Him.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”

PRAY WITH ME

Lord Jesus, grant me grace to remain attentive to Your Word. I pray also for those whose hearts are hardened: bring them to repentance and lead them into faith. Amen.

EZEKIEL 36:26
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”

God calls us to receive the forgiveness He freely gives in Christ. By His Word and Spirit, faith is created, hearts are opened, and peace is given.

Our turning to God and our perseverance in faith are not our work, but gifts of God’s mercy, so that we may live our lives in peace with one another.

We live in a time of confusion and misplaced trust. We look for answers in leadership, movements, and opinions shaped by our own interests. Yet God’s people are not restored by political instincts or self-righteous certainty, but by returning to His Word, His wisdom, and His mercy.

WALK WITH GOD TODAY

Live faithfully according to God’s Word, for these are His words meant for you. Do not cling too tightly to the things of this world, even those that seem most precious. Abide in the Word of God always.

Walk in God’s Peace Today
Place every doubt, burden, and worry in God’s hands. Trust His grace, forgive often, and give freely. Stay close to His heart and nothing will shake your peace.

The Lord opens His Heart as a fountain of mercy. In Christ, we are met not with condemnation, but with grace.

Sinners are forgiven.
The faithful are strengthened in good works.

God invites you to trust His promise.

ROMANS 8:1
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

We all need rest and relaxation, but our entertainment should be chosen wisely. What refreshes us should build us up - or at least not work against our Christian values. This isn’t about hiding from the world, but being intentional with what we feed our minds.

Heaven rejoices when we come to God in repentance and faith. His mercy has no limits—no sinner too great, no failure too deep.

God does not condemn; He restores and draws us closer.

Come to the Lord Jesus today with confidence.

HEBREWS 4:16
“Let us approach the throne of grace with boldness.”

True charity isn’t ignoring flaws–it’s bearing them with grace and choosing to celebrate even the smallest good in others.

Ephesians 4:2
“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bear with one another in love.”

The Christian Gospel proclaims this: Jesus is revealed for sinners, granting forgiveness to all who come to Him in repentance and faith. Even the greatest sinner may trust in His mercy.

Today is January 6. On this date in 2021, the U.S. Capitol was attacked by a mob that believed the presidential election was not fair or honest. The tragic events of that day have since become deeply polarizing and have driven Americans further apart.

When we come to God with a repentant heart and faith in Jesus, He freely forgives and this grace overflows into the lives of others.

THY WILL BE DONE

Jesus came to bring light to those in darkness, obeying the Father’s will in all things. May our daily work follow the same path - doing God’s will, His way, for His glory.

As we approach a new year, I’m reminded of a spiritual mentor who taught that 3 virtues should shape a believer’s life: humility, purity of intention, and love.

In a noisy and often crude world, beginning the year with a quiet, attentive heart to God’s Word feels like a faithful place to start.

A Meditation

"You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness." (Psalm 18:28)

Tonight may feel dark and confusing, but darkness makes room for the true light. What feels like emptiness isn’t loss - it’s space, so the heart can open fully and receive all of God's peace.

1 SAMUEL 16:7
“The Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (ESV)

God is less concerned with outcomes than with hearts. When we act out of love - even in small or humbling ways - He rejoices.

May our intentions be as loving as our actions.
