Tbh, I think Xaden is helping Violet because while he hates her mom he can tell she hasn't been taught how to properly defend herself until recently. She would be too easy to take out and that's below him. He wants a fight. He wants her to be his equal if and when it comes to their fight.

Jack can go fuck himself with cactus and everyone else who follows him can do the same.

Dain is 100% going to get Violet hurt because he rather protect her for himself than teach her to defend herself. I understand in the grand scheme of things he cares but he has shown where his and her weakness is. Each other.

I really thought everyone was hyping the book up because of Xaden but I’m pleased to find there is actual content to the book.

THEY BOTH ARE DOING SWEET GESTURES FOR EACH OTHER without even meaning to. It's like when it's shown on they can't get it together but the natural flow is so cute.

While I haven't seen it (yet) the author was heavy on consent and I love that. Being a person who speaks on consent often and a witch myself I think it's good to have it held in high regard. I've been given hope I won't have to cringe at anything.
