True, although I do find it weird that we haven't seen any animals so far and Carol hasn't asked about them. Did no one own pets?
But now that I think about it, I don't remember any pets on Breaking Bad or BCS either

I figured the reason why they don't kill animals is because the animals are part of the hive mind as well. If it's an alien virus that spreads from mice to human then I imagine it could infect cows, bees, etc

When I started reading the book I had no idea what it was about or how popular it was. I only know about it because it's referenced in Poe's album Haunted, which I was obsessed with at the time.
I didn't even know about the whole expanding house/hallways premise

I agree. That's probably why I stopped reading the pdf, but then I didn't get around to buying a physical copy of the book until 15 years later

I tried reading a pdf copy at some point around 09/10. I thought I got halfway through, but looking at how thick the book is I doubt I was anywhere near that. The pages are thin like a phonebook, makes it feel weirdly heavy. It's bigger on the inside than it seems like it should be.
