My Auntie passed this photo on to me today. She was having a sort out, and found my paternal Grandfather's business card from the early 1950s.
He was a man of many talents with a brush.

On first view a fairly unremarkable building, but the history of the site is quite interesting. Its named after the artist Sir Stanley Spencer, who used a studio in the hotel that stood on the site until it was demolished in 1962....
