not a gdscript plugin, no. you need os-specific binaries

oh yeah that looks very close to what I had in mind. although if I do it with godot I wont need verbose json schemas, syntax for gdscript export variables is much shorter

annoying thing about doing it with godot thought is godot on its own can't handle global keyboard shortcuts, unlike i.e electron. it would be nice to have that

power automate desktop looks similar to osx shortcuts but I want to write cross-platform code rather than draw platform-specific flow charts

oh yeah, it does look a lot like it! although it seems to be mostly focused on UX of launching things and I'm thinking also about tools that need some persistent UI. sort of an aggregator for a bunch of mini gui apps

if you switch to monthly major version updates we will have godot rewritten in rust in only a couple of years! 🤩

Rewrite Godot in Rust · Issue #8873 · godotengine/godot
For switching to Rust might make game creation and games in Godot much safer than on C/C++.

that's all right, everybody needs different things and it's hard to please everyone. I figured zed might have more things out of the box for me and spare me some time in case I lose my config or smth, but until it gets there I'm alright with my vscode extensions
