The whole thing just stems from a fundamental underlying assumption that disability and academic success are incongruent. Take that assumption away, and none of their arguments make sense.

It's just ableism.

I have a 3rd position which is that I’ve devoted scholarly effort to understanding and researching it and the deeper I stare into the abyss the more I think there is an empty mind behind its gnashing teeth.

For some, 4 v 4.15 matters a lot.

It isn't that you're wrong that for 86%-ish of people, this isn't the most salient issue.

It's that acting like it is a complete non-issue, or that people are "imagining" it, is going to (fairly) read as intensely condescending to the remaining 14% of people.

Asking ChatGPT a question is 10x more energy intensive than asking google the same question.

The google query contributes exponentially less CO2.
