one thing i've learned about my body amidst all the upheaval recently is that the effort i put into a workout far outweighs the volume i achieve. i can easily get away with 1/2 sets if i lift heavy and hard enough

jesus this cold is RELENTLESS. i have gone from waking up with a headache to feeling fine and working out to having a sneezing fit to my nose running non stop to feeling absolutely fine again to now being laid up on the sofa with another headache, immense sinus pain and the sneezes.

my favourite household chore (low effort) is running the dishwasher when it's empty with a cleaning product in it, after manually cleaning the filter. the pleasure i get from this far outweighs the effort.

annoying because today is weights day. do i resort to the 'head rule' (mind out the gutter) and do it anyway since so far it's just my head that has been destroyed but not my chest? stay tuned

haven’t had a drink for a week, been lifting weights and hitting some PBs, eating like an absolute king + making sure i hit my protein goals, and yet - i have the worst cold. my sinuses feel like hell. what did i do to deserve this

i'm approaching 40 & having a routine-interrupting night out on tuesday has royally screwed my energy levels this week (when did i become adult?). i had a great time but BOY am i tired. i am, however, really looking forward to my workout tomorrow (new pre arrived 😈) & i have no plans this weekend 😌
