I don’t think it’s fair to imply RJ was just arbitrarily undoing things, there’s a very clear path that he was aiming to take if he’d been able to follow through with the third movie, which was much more interesting than JJA’s rehash. I love force awakens, but it wasn’t exactly blazing new trails

It wasn’t a perfect movie but it tried a different direction for Star Wars that they should have stuck with for the third one instead of retconning literally everything. Rey not having a super special bloodline was good actually
