Ash lives in a few different places over the course of TCotO, but the one I’ve talked about the most is her apartment with Daphne. Living with her is pleasant, but Ash feels she doesn’t deserve it…

Ash‘s parents took her to Banff twice a year (summer and winter breaks) throughout her childhood, one of the good things they did for her.
Ash had only gone fishing twice before, both times at Lake Minnewanka in Banff. The first occasion was when she was seven years old, tagging along with her father out of curiosity. (Perhaps it was inaccurate to say she’d "gone fishing", given that she hadn't actually picked up a pole at any point.) The second occasion had been on what proved to be her last trip there. Despite sitting on the lakeshore for most of the afternoon, her efforts bore no fruit (flesh), but the scenery more than made up for it. She’d texted Emma the pictures when she returned to the campsite, and Emma had gushed over how beautiful they were, and Ash had foolishly offered to try taking her along next summer...

Ash from TCotO used to have black hair. However, her therianthropy made it become incredibly dense and mostly grey, basically snow leopard fur. (The streaks are spots, it’d be obvious if she got a buzzcut.) She started cutting it herself after that, hence the choppiness. #AwesomeCharacters

Heracles had slain the Nemean Lion not with a sword, but with one of its own claws. Trying to slash through his convictions with pointed argument would be useless. What she needed to do was use his own words and actions to undo them. Catch him on an inconsistency with his beliefs. She could already think of several.

I may not have been there when it happened, but seeing the pictures in the newspapers left almost as much of an impression as if I'd been there in the flesh, craning my neck until it cricked to watch the darkness spread across the midday sky.
