I love that Del Toro wasn't afraid to make the monster strangely beautiful either, which is something that I feel was lost from the original story

The power of the miserable monsters and their tragic romances can never be underestimated

I think this is one of the smaller downfalls of FF's gameplay and lore colliding in a way where the world doesn't really have a way to react to the more potent parts of lore.

Running into a summoner with the ability to summon Bahamut would be TERRIFYING and would make a pretty big threat.

Port Phasmatys was a struggle simply because technically it has no light sources and is bathed in a sickly glow so making it work was a challenge.

I'm trying to decide between continuing Morytania or heading to somewhere a bit sunnier. Sarim for Sailing perhaps?

It's not about making the areas look "realistic" as such and more about trying to capture the atmosphere that they have, based on a mix of lore and personal experience over the years of playing

It's pretty simple in a lot ways, i'm using tools to export parts of the OSRS map and relighting them in Blender to get a better idea of how those areas WOULD really look. Using existing light source points as reference along with my own artistic touches

I got mine cutting teaks at a pretty similar level so it's nice! There's a lot of amazing pets in OSRS that I've always wanted...never lucky tho!

Skilling Pets like the Beaver decrease in rarity the higher your skill level so if you're chopping Willows, you got lucky!
