Yes, definitely. It's quite amazing how involved their branching logic is. Telltale did this a little bit in their games but here it's on another level.

I suppose DS and Baby Steps have very different target audiences. And very different development budgets.

I'm sure you're right in principle with your criticisms, I'd just give those 3 wacko devs willing this game into existence in 6 years much more leeway compared to a AAA title.

The game sometimes does this deliberately.

Characters mentioning in cut scenes that there's nothing up on that impossibly hard to climb tower, only for you to find that was the truth when you make it anyhow.

For me, finding these cut scenes and the joyful mechanics themselves are the main draw.
