Most fun beer league game I ever played was when our goalie didn’t show. I put all 6 of us hard on the forecheck, didn’t worry about keeping anyone back…and we won 17-16. Beers afterward never tasted so good.

My parents took me to a Bronco game when I was 2 (1966), then moved to MI. I grew up a fan and got season tix when I brought our family back here in the 90s. All our boys come to games, and we share that with my folks. Very college football like, one of the special things about Denver.

Thanks for this Graham, a really nice remembrance. I sent it to my son (ex Captain of Colorado club team coached by Dan) and he’s sharing it around with the boys who played there under him.

Man I hear ya. Dan was our son’s coach at CU, made him captain for 2 yrs and everyone was close. Tough one tonight for sure.

Well, I always have enjoyed and appreciated the Canadian anthem, and will continue to. Just as a whole people are not their leaders, neither is a song associated with only the worst of you.
