Too hot to move around much today so I'll lounge in the shade and enjoy my colourful flower display.

Dahlia Fun Pastel. Each year I forget over winter just how attractive this one is then each summer it surprises me anew.

I love the way the Scottish Braes light up with the bright yellow shades of gorse at this time of year.

My neighbour's garden shed. He didn't realise that if you don't look after it, Nature will eat it.
I helped him rescue it.

I was trying to think of a smart political comment to suit the current mood but why not just enjoy the feeding frenzy of the hungry ducks.

So Trump thinks China panicked.
They didn't. They just stuffed it straight back at Trump. He thinks he's an infallible genius but he'll learn the hard way.
USA should suffer with him for voting him in and allowing his madness to continue unfettered but the rest of the World don't deserve the fallout

Why would a Scot hate Trump so much? I would love to ignore him but he is heading for igniting the World.
On a personal level, here is what he is doing to the pension fund I hoped to build to pay for care in my old age.
How low will it go?

Good to see the Highland cattle grazing contentedly in the Spring sunshine. My walks felt lonelier without them in the Winter.

Bargain Hunt 25 Years

My favourite expert was Charles Hanson.
BBC dropped him when accused of wife abuse. 'Guilty til proved innocent.'

As the court found him not guilty, you would think BBC would have included him in the anniversary edition: but no.

Guilty even if proved innocent. Shame on BBC.

This man is ready to abandon Ukraine and overnight another 11 lives were lost. Blood on HIS hands for denying the protection he could give until he gets his greedy way.

Reminds me of Kind David of ancient Israel. Story here-

I wonder if King Charles complained that President Zelensky dared to meet him without wearing a suit. He also met the Prime Minister and European leaders in his customary outfit because we in UK can understand that it shows sympathy with his soldiers living in uniform during the war.

What a disgrace to the West. Just self-serving like the rest of Trump's cabal.
I propose we tell America to stay their side of the Pond. Stuff your tariffs. We will trade with everyone but Putin's lot and Trump's lot. And ban all US flights over our country.
Great dream!

Drill baby drill. Frack Frack Frack. Burn baby burn. Will Trump and the nation clever enough to vote him into office be clever enough to make the connection?

Just the first taste of the lunatics now in charge of the asylum.
The effort to ban TikTok was started by Trump in 2020.

If Trump “saves” TikTok, he will just be undoing the problem he created.

Leylandii Trees! The curse of small suburban gardens. Someone thinks it's a nice idea, sticks it next to a fence then ignores it for 40 odd years. Result is a looming presence robbing the neighbours' gardens of light, moisture and nutrients.
Just thought I'd sound off about a pet hate.

Another architectural gem lost to Paisley and Scotland. The former Territorial Army centre, 1896 by local architect Thomas Abercrombie is being demolished. Like the wonderful Ferguslie Mills, the Part Time School and so many others, another irreplaceable loss to our built heritage.

Get Out There! Even on really cold days it is well worth making the effort to walk for a while. This was at Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch, Scotland. Ice on the water but the beauty of nature brings warmth and health to body and soul.

La Fires. Sadly this tragedy will not make a difference. It needs years of disasters to change the US mindset. The most wasteful consumer society on earth do not want to change.
