Had also been meaning to get back to Resident Evil 3 (original psx version), which I'd been putting off for a while since its such a stressful game, and was like would this also now feel like a relaxing break from Silksong? So I played some last night and no. No it does not. Game fuckin slaps though

If you do end up playing it, I super recommend trying it on an arcade stick, its real satisfying with that tactility. I havent played the new ninja gaiden or shinobi (i know they're... divisive lol) but i doubt any other game this year could make pulling off sick ninja shit feel better than Silksong

Part of having an interesting space to navigate is a strong sense of place and atmosphere, a world woth real texture to it, which most collectathon types and most 3d mario games after sunshine just kinda dont bother with

To me a good 3D platformer is all about 1. The pure joy of movement and 2. Becoming engrossed in navigating an interesting space, and these games each embody that to me in totally different ways
